Cook Book Challenge: Week 12 by cakecrumbs Cook Book Challenge: Week 12 by cakecrumbs
If you have a list of sauces in your repertoire, you can turn any basic meal into something a little more special. This satay sauce recipe the The Australia Woman's Weekly's "The great chicken cookbook" serves that purpose. This sauce is made with common pantry ingredients and is far from traditional - served with marinated chicken shaslicks, it's perfect for those nights of zero inspiration.

Thanks. I often do that with the rice cause I think it looks neat, but my boyfriend dislikes it because it makes him feel guilty when he destroys it!

hahah if it's easy (which you say often so i guess it isn't very hard) then he shouldn't feel too bad :D

Oh it's beyond easy. You just pack the rice into a dish or glass and invert it onto the plate. Sometimes it crumbles if you don't do it right, but rice is easy enough to scoop back up and try again!
