This week's challenge was yet another The Australian Women's Weekly cookbook my dad picked up from a op-shop, entitled "Chinese Cooking Class Cookbook", and just like the curry one, I want to cook it from cover to cover.

One thing that caught my eye when flicking through it was a recipe called "Chicken and Banana Squares"

Chicken AND banana? What?

It sounded so crazy I just had to try it. And I mean, I hate cooked banana. But this was godly. Seriously you guys, go check out the recipe and make this shit: [link]

Just do it.

Okay I'm getting extremely hungry looking at this; I need some, like now!
I like certain fruit and meat combinations! They can turn out tasting divine, so I'll take your word for this. :)

Haha, well considering how much I hate cooked banana (one time my boyfriend ordered a dessert calzone for us to share, I told him he could pick the flavour and he chose nutella and banana -- I wouldn't eat it) for me to think it was good was a pretty massive thing.

It kinda tasted like feta. I was surprised that it worked in a savoury dish. Though one of the commenters on my blog said she comes from Brazil and it's a really common flavour over there. Here, everyone was like "wth?"

What is feta, if I may ask? (Sorry, I'm quite ignorant about certain things :ashamed: ) Ah it's okay, I shall google it. :) I didn't know it's a common flavour in Brazil, that's cool to know!
Lol about your boyfriend! Looking at this picture again makes me hungry (again) :D :D

Haha, it's cheese! One of my favourite ever. It's perfect in greek dishes. And salads. Mmm. I often do this stuffed lamb loin recipe (I've probably posted it already) that has feta cheese in it. I love feta.
