I'm finally baking again! Easing into it with something small (I swear my head is still on vacation - as is my partner's, clearly, since he just woke up and told me I needed to go to bed or we'd be late for the coach!).

I am terrible at piping. This year it is one of the skills I've put as a priority on my list to learn. It's much easier to practise on cookies than cakes so I've decided to enter the world of decorated sugar cookies. You'll probably be seeing lots from me this year. I want to highlight this especially for those of you watching me who say they wish they could do what I can do. This is something I'm no good at and will be practising to become better at. As you (hopefully) see my progression I hope it reinforces when I say that all skills are learned, take time and need practise. We can all reach those goals.

These are my first. They're love letter themed chocolate cookies for my partner for Valentine's Day.
