Tutorial: Chocolate Easter Egg by cakecrumbs Tutorial: Chocolate Easter Egg by cakecrumbs
There's a few ways to make hollowed out chocolates. No particular technique is 'right', it's just whatever works for you. This is how I make my Easter eggs.

Can't wait to try this, I'm fairly good at baking but molding chocolate is something I have yet to try. I'm looking forward to it tho :)

I really like the picture of the chocolate dripping out on the baking paper, looks so cool. Also, this tutorial will be great when I fix the party for my younger brother, which will have Mine craft theme! I can make eggs in white chocolate, and as they are hollow some can have a marzipan chicken inside or something. It will look just like in the game! Thanks for the tutorial!

I had a super sodding day at work, but somehow this cheered me up - chocolates, crafting-art, and recipes. Thanks a lot! :)

It's just endless overtime and extra hard work that hardly gets me anywhere. I'll do it, of course, but, you know. I'm not charity. ;P

It's frustrating. Especially when it's always one way. I don't mind putting in the extra work, but it has to be give and take. Unfortunately, too many employers are all about the take part.

Hm, it's interesting. It's similar to ocarina making lol. I'll try it someday (not something we do in my country)

Now that you mention it, these kind of do remind me of ocarinas. Didn't think of that before. :)

Is there anything else we could use a substitute for the egg molds?

Not really for this technique. You can use any solid egg-shaped thing, it doesn't have to be a commercial mould. But you do need a mould.
