Meme: The Legend of Zelda -- Skyward Sword

Straight up, despite being a fan of the franchise since I was 9 years old, I've never done any Zelda art. I love it so much that I was always afraid of not doing it justice, of insulting my favourite game, that I never tried.

But this meme looked so fun, and I loved Skyward Sword SO much, that I just wanted to have some fun with this. So this is not only my first art meme, but my first Zelda art ever.

I had so much fun doing this I'm thinking of facing said fear and trying more Zelda art in future. I particularly want to extend on the chibbi dragon panel and draw all three in that style and colour it properly.

I didn't get room to talk about it and so rather than squeezing text in I tried to let the drawing speak for itself. But oh my God, SILENT REALMS. What a psychological mind game they were. The music, the colour, the defencelessness, the finality... Nothing in the Zelda Universe -- scratch that, in any game ever in my life -- has ever managed to freak me out the way they did. I never got caught by the guardians, but there were enough close calls to have me nearly weeing myself. I would have to put the remote down and walk away after completing the Silent Realm as the adrenaline rush would have me shaking so bad I couldn't continue to play.

This game is so beautiful. The characters so captivating. I never wanted it to end.
