Over the next two weeks over at projecteducate we're having two whole weeks of Artisan Craft madness! A number of artisans from the dA community are teaming up to bring you educational articles about a wide plethora of crafts. Check out the PE schedule to see what's in store!

Along with these articles, we're bringing you an exciting and fun contest. The contest is all about upcycling the old and turning it into something brand spanking new. If that's not exciting enough in its own right, there's premium memberships and points up for grabs! Go here to read all about the contest!

There's nothing quite like turning trash into treasure. It's most often a cost-effective way of acquiring crafty materials. It's also great for the environment to repurpose something that might have ended up in landfill (or worse) and turning it into something you'll never want to let go of. And you get to feel good on multiple levels while making something fun and crafty and amazing - it's a win-win!

To celebrate, this week's feature is all about deviants who create gorgeous artwork by recycling!

*AMechanicalMind's is known for his beautiful, intricate and delicate metallic arthropods created from old watch parts and other random tidbits. Clockwork Spider is a small taste of the quality in store for you when you visit his gallery.

Spoons have seldom looked as beautiful as they do in ~Astalo's gallery. Mixed metal jewelry is a fine example of what a skilled hand can do with ordinary household items.

~ivan12 uses old beer bottles and a red hot flame to turn those unwanted vessels into stunning and delicate works of colour and life. Green minies is his latest showcase of the technique.

Water Rising by =Temperate-Sage is a stunning enough dress in its own right. But when you know it was created using 13 pairs of up-cycled denim jeans it's even more inspiring.

With a name like ~Techcycle you mightn't be surprised to learn they create art through recycling electronics and circuit boards. These pieces of jewellery, like Red Wire Toroids Cufflinks, bring out the colour, beauty and potential of thrown away electronics.

No use for CDs in this digital age? Nonsense! ~SeanAvery takes old compact discs and creates wonderfully colouful critters out of them that you just want to hug is spite of their spikes, like this curious Husky Pup.

Like most, I love me a good piece of steam punk craft, but it's even better when it's created from reused cogs as ~skuggsida has done with this Steampunk ring.

*Christine-Eige uses soft drink cans to create beautiful displays of metal worked flowers. Those familiar white swirls take on a new life in Coke Soda Can Tiger Lily.

This life-sized sculpture called "Suspended Freedom" was created by *Gaararoxmysox13 using repurposed papers in memory of her late grandmother.
