Do you know what's awesome?

Tentacles!

They can be cute, they can be intimidating. They can be colourful, or muted. They can appear fierce and strong, or swirl in delicate, graceful lines.

These muscular structures are best known as those attached jellyfish, but they're found in a massive array of invertebrates, some mammals & amphibians, and even in plants! We always associate them as having suckers, but some species come equipped with all sorts of interesting structures. Some tentacles have eyes at the end of them (snails) others have teeth (giant squid). Some can release venom (jellyfish) and others are lined with sharp swivelling hooks (colossal squid).

But where they are best known is the one place they are most often misnamed: the octopus. The 8 limbs on the octopus are actually arms, not tentacles. Tentacles are actually much longer than arms, and only have suckers on the very tips rather than scaling the whole length of them.

But tentacles just sounds way cooler than arms, so I'm gonna dump the Zoologist hat for once and just call them tentacles along with these artists.

Check out these crafted versions of them!

For some reason, I can't find the +fav or +watch-- which is upsetting because I would like to both: go on a faving spree on your gallery, and watch you.

AMAZING AMAZING A-MAZ-ING.
